The amount of configuration required to interoperate with a new SP depends heavily on the current configuration environment and the amount of custom behavior needed to interact with this SP. In the best-case scenario where the new SP is part of a federation with which existing trust relationships have been established and release parameters defined, no new configuration is required at all. Other configuration changes needed to communicate with a new SP are listed below according to the functionality needed.
