filter IdPs somehow that don't declare themselves "ready"

Description

As discussed on inc-sp-boarding@incommon.org, it would be helpful to be able to filter out "test" IdPs from the SP discovery interface. See: https://lists.incommon.org/sympa/arc/inc-sp-boarding/2011-07/msg00045.html

Tags added to feed, and filtering added to metadata sources.

Still needs to be documented because it relies on a new EntityMatcher interface.

This may turn into changes to the metadata providers just to influence the feeds. Probably need to cover this ground when discussions on server-side disco protocol takes place.

You're probably right about all three of those points in the context of the SP and the EDS; I was mostly thinking about the CDS case. Which probably serves me right for not paying proper attention to the headers
