The <Extensions> element is widely used. It contains information that is not part of the core configuration of the SP, precisely how it applies is dependent on the containing elementi rarely used outside of a few cases involving some optional features the SP packages into separate libraries.
Currently the only content defined is a child element for loading extension libraries.
