BOOST autoconf macros break with gcc5

Description

Building with gcc5 fails during the BOOST_REQUIRE test because of some kind of change to the way the test program returns the BOOST_VERSION macro. Located an updated boost.m4 file with comments to that effect and numerous other fixes.
